Clean Images (“the app”) is a gallery cleaner that helps you review and delete photos and videos on your device. This policy explains what data we handle and why.
Your photos and videos stay on your device. The app reads them locally so you can browse, review, and delete them. We do not upload your photo or video library to our servers.
Sign-in is required to use the app. You can create an account with email/password, a passwordless email link, or Google Sign-In.
When you are signed in, we store a small profile document in Google Firebase (Firestore, EU region) under your user ID. This may include:
This data is used to sync your stats across devices and improve the product. It is not sold to third parties.
The app may store preferences and cached stats locally (e.g. onboarding state, deletion counters) using on-device storage.
If you allow notifications, the app may send local reminders to re-engage with your gallery. Notification content is generated on your device.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. This removes your Firebase authentication record and your cloud profile document. Photos on your phone are not affected.
If deletion fails for security reasons, sign out, sign in again, then retry.

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
